Opole HK Player Arrival Week – Limited Openings Available

Opole HK begins player arrival week today. With 17 of 22 signed players arriving today in Krakow and the team bus transporting everyone to Opole, practices will begin tomorrow.

“The season starts earlier in Europe. Many teams actually began training in June.” Said Opole HK Head Coach Brad Zangs “We trust our guys to do the work at home, and we are sure they are coming in prepared for pre season and the regular season which begins in just four weeks.”

When it comes to development for NCAA or Professional hockey, Opole HK is leading the way in Europe.

Amenities? Dedicated Dressing room, complete on site weight training facility, Olympic veteran Physiotherapist, dorm style secure team housing, all travel by new coach bus, no more than three players to a room in hotels, all meals on the road catered.

New this year is an exclusive team dining hall.

“We wanted to ensure the players are receiving the best possible nutrition, in an environment that featured foods they are familiar with from North America.” Said Opole HK Owner and General Manager Joseph Kolodziej “We purchased a restaurant, updated it with new equipment, and decorated it for the team. It is closed to the public, and will serve the players meals daily, as well as serve meals for visiting teams and National Programs that train in Opole.”

All of this along with a 3000 seat arena and the ability to have fans during the 2021-2022 season. Season tickets and single game tickets will go on sale in two weeks.

Scouts? Scouts from Major Junior, NHL and all European professional leagues attend games featuring Opole HK.

If you are looking to play professionally in Europe after college, or looking for a new route to college hockey, there is no better opportunity than Opole HK. When the plan you have used is not producing results that you want, it is time to change the plan and think outside of the box.

Members of the 1st League in Poland, and the European University Hockey League, Opole HK will play a 46 game regular season along with playoffs in both the 1st league and EUHL.

Games in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania along with other “friendly” games against teams from Ukraine, and possibly Latvia and Lithuania. Travel and COVID conditions permitting.

Did you know you can attend college in Europe with English speaking classes? European University education costs about $5000 per year. Compared to even community college in the United States, or smaller NCAA or ACHA programs, it is much less expensive.

Opole HK finished in second place during its first season in 2020-2021. Looking to build on that success and win a championship this year, Opole HK is adding players who want to compete at the highest level of hockey in Europe.

Opole HK is looking for two Defensemen along with one Goaltender for the 2021-2022 season.
