Jake Paul vs Askren live updates: Latest stream details and results

Jake Paul clashes with KSI during his post-fight interview

Follow all the action as YouTube star Jake Paul takes on former UFC fighter Ben Askren at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Determined to set up a fight with Conor McGregor, Paul has won his first two professional bouts, with knockout victories against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA player Nate Robinson. Askren, meanwhile, retired from mixed martial arts after he went 1-2 in the UFC, and was famously on the receiving end of the fastest knockout in UFC history when he was defeated by Jorge Masvidal at UFC 239.

With former world champion Regis Prograis appearing on the undercard, it is set to be an explosive, trash-talk laden evening of entertainment. Many have derided Paul’s claims to be an “elite fighter”, however, the American is determined to prove his credentials are real in his hardest test yet. “A young prospect with a lot of motivation, a lot of hunger and I think people see me as an amateur,” he said. “There’s sort of a big difference and there’s a big gap in between where I’m actually at and what the general audience will think, but I’m excited again to show my ability again on Saturday, against Ben who is a world-class fighter.” Follow all the action live below:

THE BLACK KEYS

In case you’re wondering what is currently going on, The Black Keys are playing ‘I Got Mine’. Got to love a bit of Dan Auerbach. For younger readers, they were big in around 2012.

REGIS RETURNS

On the undercard of tonight’s fight, former world champion Regis Prograis takes on Ivan Redkach.

The American’s last major clash came against Josh Taylor in October 2019 when he lost their unified title fight.

He then returned in October but his first real test since the Taylor defeat comes this evening.

BODIES DON’T WIN FIGHTS

You don’t have to be an Adonis to win a fight. Case and point.

Paul has impressed with how in-shape he looks. And many have mocked Askren for his physical appearance. But that means nothing once you step inside those ropes.

WHO WINS?

Is Paul too much for Askren? A lot of people feel he is too big and too strong for the wrestler. But others feel Askren’s experience in the fight game will see him through.

Just a few hours until we find out.

3-0?

Jake Paul could move to 3-0 as a pro boxer tonight if he gets the victory. Last time out he sparked basketball player Nate Robinson in two rounds.

PAUL VS ASKREN

Who’s backing the underdog tonight? We have reached a point where a professional MMA fighter is the outside bet for a fight against a YouTuber. Crazy, I know. But it’s reality.
