Team Canada 2021-2022 – International Figure Skating

  Team Canada 2021-2022 looks very much the same as last season, with a couple of additions in pairs and ice dance. A total of 24 athletes (up from 18 in 2020), comprised of three men, three ladies, four pairs and five ice dance teams have been selected.  To earn a place on a national team, skaters must have finished in the top three at the 2020 Canadian Championships, and/or have a top-24 ranking in the ISU World Standings, and have confirmed they will compete in the 2021-2022 season. Following a two-week break, skating fans can get ready for a few long days of skating with two competitions taking place on opposite sides of the world. The fourth event of the 2021 Junior Grand Prix Series is set for Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Sep. 15-18. 2021 JGP France 2 – International Figure Skating

The second event of the 2021 Junior Grand Prix Series was originally scheduled to take place in Edmonton, Canada, but on June 23, Skate Canada announced it had cancelled the competition due to ongoing restrictions with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic. The French federation stepped up and offered to host back-to-back events in Courchevel.
