Dani Ceballos gets on the ball for Arsenal

Arsenal are taking on Everton tonight in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium. Fans have gathered outside the stadium to protest against the ownership of the Kroenkes following the European Super League debacle this week, which saw Arsenal as one of the 12 clubs attempting to break away from Uefa and form their own competition which would ringfence money and power among a select few.

There is still the matter of Premier League places to play for and European competition next season. Arsenal can leapfrog the Toffees into eighth place in the Premier League and pull themselves back into Europa League contention with victory, while Everton can kill off the Gunners’ challenge and move themselves to within a point of seventh-place Liverpool and sixth-place Tottenham.

That was Everton’s first win away to Arsenal in 25 years, since the 1995/96 season.

An unlikely win for Everton, their first win in this stadium since its inception in 2006. Arsenal were nothing short of dire, they offered precious little in attack. Everton controlled the first half, but suffered in the second, and the goal came completely against the run of play, with Leno’s howler.

Everton now six points ahead of Arsenal in eighth place, and only three points behind Chelsea in the race for the fourth Champions League spot.

Really not a game to live long in the memory.

90 + 2 min: Late chance for Arsenal, great work by Martinelli, who somehow fashions a shot out of nothing. Great save also by Pickford.

GOAL! Arsenal 0-1 Everton (Richarlison, 76)

76 min: The away side take the lead! Richarlison skips past Granit Xhaka down the right-hand side of the Arsenal box. The Brazilian arrows in towards the Arsenal goal and cross the ball. Bernd Leno attempts to smother the ball, but is somehow ends up going through his legs and into the net. A terrible own goal from the Arsenal goalkeeper.
